Mercado Livre
How do you get a white background for a Mercado Livre listing?
A Mercado Livre product listing wants the item sharp, without a bedroom behind it and without a patterned cloth. Cut out to a transparent PNG first; put the white plate on the listing art, at the size the form asks for.
How to do it in three steps
Do not shoot already on white if the light blows the edge of the item. Shoot on a simple backdrop, cut out, and only then add white. That way the sole, the stitch and the label stay visible.
- Photograph the whole item, front on, with light in front. Avoid a flash that glues the shadow to the backdrop. Send a PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 8 MB to the background remover.
- Download the full-resolution transparent PNG. Open it in the editor you already use for the listing and fill the background with white. Do not shrink to a thumbnail before cutting out.
- Export the art at the Mercado Livre listing size. If the cutout ate the handle or the cable, go back to the photo: white does not restore pixels the cutout removed.
What to expect: formats, size and time
The free tool does not return a JPEG with a white background ready for the listing. It returns a transparent PNG. The white plate is your step on purpose: each marketplace asks for a different ratio, and the free page does not pretend to be the listing generator.
It accepts PNG, JPEG and WebP up to 8 MB, one image at a time, with a daily allowance. Cutout time varies with size and load. The page retries once if the engine is busy. I am not quoting an internal Mercado Livre rule I cannot open here: check the platform help for listing ratio and file weight.
When to use the paid API
If you publish one listing in an afternoon, the free page covers the cutout. If stock arrives from a spreadsheet and each SKU needs a PNG in the record, the API enters the flow: cutout, white plate, resize, upload. Account and key at /products and /pricing.
The API does not replace the photo. It replaces the repeated click. While you are still choosing the angle of the item for Mercado Livre, stay on the free tool.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tool already deliver the white listing background?
No. It delivers a transparent PNG. You apply the white plate on the art, at the Mercado Livre listing size.
Do I need a Brainiall account for one photo?
No, while the daily allowance lasts. When it runs out, the page asks you to sign up. Lots and automatic records need the API.
Does JPEG work for a white background?
JPEG does not keep transparency. Cut out as PNG; if the listing requires JPEG, export after applying the white plate.
Should the item shadow stay in the cutout?
A shadow glued to the backdrop usually leaves with the backdrop. A shadow that belongs to the object can remain. If the item floats too much, shoot again with more frontal light.
