How do you prepare a product photo for Shopee?
Shopee shows the item as a feed thumbnail and larger on the listing. cut the background so the object does not compete with the room; then build the art at storefront size The free tool does the cutout, not the whole listing.
How to do it in three steps
A Shopee thumbnail forgives little. A busy backdrop becomes noise when the image shrinks. Cut out first, choose the storefront plate second — white, brand colour or a clean scene.
- Photograph the item filling the frame. Leave a margin, but do not leave the item small in the centre. Send a PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 8 MB to the background remover.
- Download the full-resolution transparent PNG. Build the Shopee art with the cutout in the centre and the plate the storefront asks for. Do not cut again in the editor just to “clean”: if the edge failed, change the photo.
- Make the main image and, if needed, angle variants. Each angle is one upload on the free page. SKU lots go to the API.

No. It cuts the background. You download the PNG and build the listing on Shopee.
Can I reuse the Mercado Livre photo?
The cutout works for both. The final art changes because each storefront asks for a different ratio and margin.
Does Shopee WebP go in directly?
If the file is WebP up to 8 MB, yes. The download from this page is a transparent PNG.
What about a grey studio backdrop?
Even grey cuts cleanly. Stained grey or a floor shadow can leave a halo. Shoot again with more frontal light if the edge is dirty.
