Teaching
How does a teacher use the detector without turning class into court?
In the room, the detector is a passage pointer, not a sentence. paste the essay, read the passages, and use the signal for the conversation with the student The free tool does not replace a rubric, a draft and school policy.
How to do it in three steps
Ask for pasteable text, not a screenshot of the editor. If the work arrived as a PDF, extract the text first. The minimum is 20 characters; a full essay fits better.
- Paste the essay into the tool. Read the verdict and the passages, not only the badge.
- Mark the high passages in your notebook. Compare them with the draft, with the student's speech in class, with the rubric. A passage copied from a manual also pulls the signal: that is the object, not proof of cheating.
- Talk. Ask the student to explain the passage out loud. The page does not email the student and does not publish the result. Calibration is more stable on formal English prose; a Portuguese essay is still a signal.
What to expect: formats, size and time
Text, from 20 characters, page allowance, no file, no OCR of a handwritten sheet. Short time in the tab. A busy engine asks for a retry.
There is no published cutoff number for “set the mark to zero”. There is no gradebook integration. Short text, a sentence drill and a translated paragraph are weak objects for the signal.
When to use the paid API
When coordination wants the signal in the LMS delivery flow, not in the teacher's tab. The API enters the school pipe. /products and /pricing.
One essay today: free page. A whole class, every week: API and house policy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the badge as an automatic zero?
No. The badge is a signal. A mark is a rubric, a conversation and school policy.
Will the family see the result?
Not through this page. The page does not send email and does not publish a report card.
Does a handwritten essay go in?
Not as a photo. Transcribe the text and paste it. There is no OCR on this tool.
Can the student paste their own text before handing it in?
Yes. A signal on the draft is lesson material, if the school wants to teach revision.
