How do you prepare IELTS speaking with a phrase meter?

IELTS speaking has three public parts: a short interview, a long turn, a discussion. this page is not the examiner and does not give an exam band It scores the reference phrase you rehearsed, with overallScore and a phone tape Phone PCC 0.682 against 0.555 at /aprender/pcc.

How to do it in three steps

Rehearse one answer from each part as fixed text at the start. Then loosen the speech. The meter only exists while the reference is typed. A long Part 2 can exceed 60 s: trim the stretch.

  1. Type the stretch you will rehearse. Record up to 60 s, 8 MB, 15–30 cm, SNR above 15 dB.
  2. Read words below 50 and phones in 0–39. Sentence fluency above 70 does not replace a bad phone. /aprender/quatro-niveis.
  3. Repeat the same stretch. Confidence under 0.5 discards the take. An IELTS band, if any, belongs to the exam; we do not publish a conversion to band on this page.

What to expect: formats, size and time

8 MB, 60 s, 16 kHz. No examiner, no two-minute Part 2 timer, no conversion to band. No pass-rate percentage.

Free speech in Part 3 does not fit the fixed-phrase contract. Use the page for the memorised stretch and the phone contrast. The exam remains the exam.

When to use the paid API

When a speaking course yields a score on every class rehearsal. API at /products and /pricing. Series /aprender.
